Course description
Join us for a new and exciting Owner's Event! Gwen Charles will show and teach how to create a Fabistry™ throw! You will learn some new techniques for re-purposing. You will take what was once discarded items and up-cycle to Fabistry™!
Sign in will start Friday morning, at 8 am EST, Sept. 29, 2023: lunch and dinner will be served. Saturday will be a full day of learning; all supplies are included for your Fabistry™; breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served. Sunday, you will have the opportunity to add any finishing touches to your Fabistry™; breakfast and lunch will be served.

Participant requirements
This is an introductory level course and no prior knowledge of textiles is necessary.
Course Content
The course covers skills for making Fabistry™; including techniques, textures, patterns and layering. It provides an overview of FeltLOOM® needle-felting technology with a demonstration of fabric production or transformation using fiber to fiber and fiber to fabric. The course will include examples of design approaches and provide guidelines for FeltLOOM® artwork and skills for combining different fibers to transform them into works of art. Participants will apply the skills they learn to create their own original design that will be processed into Fabistry™.
